‘Lantouri’ director honors terror victims

Iranian director Reza Dormishian has paid tribute to the victims of recent terrorist attacks in Tehran with granting his award for ‘Lantouri’.

He dedicated the award he won at the Festival Internacional de Cine de Derechos Humanos (International Film Festival on Human Rights) in Argentina.

The applauded drama ‘Lantouri’ received the best film award of the Argentine festival held on May 31-June 7 in Buenos Aires.

In a statement published on Saturday, Dormishian said “I dedicate this award to the victims of the Tehran terrorist attacks, the innocent people who are the victims of the cruelty of the enemy of human rights, which is Daesh.”

The movie narrates the story of a young man who falls in love with a young woman and a thwarted passion that causes trouble for the girl.

Navid Mohammadzadeh, Maryam Palizban, Baran Kosari, Mehdi Koushki, Behrang Alavi and Bahram Afshari starred in ‘Lantouri’.

A large number of Iran celebrities and personalities shared posts on social media on Wednesday about the terror attacks in Tehran, mostly using the hashtags “We Are Together” and “Pray for Tehran.”
